Darkhorse, a
1995 V6 Mustang came to many shows & saw a few sets of rims
along her way. From Stock 15" Tribars, I bought the GT style 17"
Tribars with new rubber a couple of years after buying the car.
Those did summer duty & the Tribars were shod with Winter rubber
& still are in use to this day. I grabbed my favorite rims, 17"
2001 Bullitts from a local Mustang owner in about 03 & they were
my show duty set up until I picked up my latest steed,
Horsepower in 2008. I got the power up from 145BHP stock to
192BHP with underdrive Pulleys, Cold Air Intake, Plug Wires &
Plugs. The car has had the Transmission Rebuilt once & the Rear
was replaced with a steeper geared 2001 V6 model a couple of
years ago. Current Gearing is 3:27, Stock was 2:73.
I bought Horsepower, my 2007 GT from Parkside Ford in April of
2008 & have her now as my Showcar. Summer "Nice Day" driver, I
can count the times she's been driven in Rain on one hand. Two
of which was the treck to the 2008 International Mustang Meet
from Saskatoon & back home & one ride into Billings Montana for
the 2009 International. My first V8 stang, I can say the power
is awesome. I got to take her to the track this year & pulled
off a 13.89 @ 99MPH on my second run ever. This car is easily
the nicest I've ever owned & I plan to keep her in the family
for a long time. Horsepower was dynoed at 315HP & 320 Torque.
Only Mod's for Performance are the Axleback Flowmaster Mufflers
(so far... ).
Earlier this year Carmen & I had the nice fortune of achieving
ownership of a 1988 Crown Victoria. It has a 5.0 V8 under the
hood & 100000km's less than Darkhorse. I usually drive the Vic,
but once in a while I get the itch to drive the old Green Steed
& take her to work instead.
